At the 2024 China (Suzhou) Photonics Industry Development Conference & the 15th China Laser Processing Industrial Summit, BWT's Chairman Chen Xiaohua was invited to speak, sharing the latest achievements and application cases of ultra-high power fiber lasers, demonstrating how technology empowers laser manufacturing.

During the R&D process, BWT, with its profound technical accumulation and extraordinary innovative concepts, overcame key technical bottlenecks in ultra-high power fiber lasers, launching the Thunder series of ultra-high power fiber lasers. Featuring CTC chip integration, a new generation of high-brightness quasi-single-mode 6kW Thunder optical platform, femtosecond laser inscription grating technology, ultra-high power signal combining technology, and output technology, the Thunder series achieves stable output power of 150kW, and boasts four main product characteristics: high integration, high power, high brightness, and long fiber delivery cables.

 


 

Following the launch of the Thunder series, BWT quickly collaborated with industry leaders such as JIATAI LASER and GWEIKE LASER to create typical application cases, significantly accelerating the overall level of laser manufacturing in fields such as construction machinery, steel structures, shipbuilding, and rail transportation. Promoting the Advancement of Core Light Sources for Laser 3D Printing

 

Laser selective melting 3D printing technology, with its advantages of design flexibility, high precision, excellent performance, and suitability for complex thin-walled parts, shows immense application potential in fields such as aerospace, mold manufacturing, medical dentistry, 3C precision components, and automotive. In the global market, the 3D printing sector is dominated by giants from developed regions such as Europe and America, with Asia catching up. In 2023, the number of 3D printing equipment manufacturers in China has risen to second globally.

 

At the forum, Zhou Ruiding, product manager of BWT's Fiber Laser BU, shared the industry blueprint "Innovation Empowerment, Promoting the Advancement of Core Light Sources for Laser 3D Printing," revealing the core technical advantages of BWT's 500W single-mode fiber laser in the 3D printing industry. As a high-quality solution for core light sources, BWT's 500W single-mode fiber laser incorporates the "smaller, lighter, smarter" features of the Lightning series, offering stability and reliability, with performance indicators comparable to imported products:

BWT starts from the material end, developing core optical components, including femtosecond laser grating inscription and self-made output heads QBH/QCS, ultimately achieving high beam quality laser output. The product strictly controls the output spectral wavelength: center wavelength λ: 1080±5nm, full width at half maximum (λ: 3.4751nm). This spectral consistency ensures uniform material absorption rates during multi-laser 3D printing, prevents focus halo enlargement that leads to larger heat-affected zones, and maintains high printing precision.
